A date that is usually considered relatively available in the series, and yet one which across both major grading services has seen a mere 9 examples certified, of which this is a joint-finest. Indeed, this marks the third representative sold by Heritage and the first since 2013. Flan flaws, a trademark feature of Ferdinand's 8 Escudos from the Lima mint, are noticeably scant, the slightly raised rims producing pondlike effects across the surfaces. Truly pleasing for the grade, and most desirable as such.
