Augustus (27 BC-AD 14). AV aureus (19mm, 7.77 gm, 5h). NGC Choice XF 5/5 - 3/5, brushed. Uncertain Spanish mint (Colonia Patricia?), ca. 19 BC. CAESAR-AVGVSTVS, bare head of Augustus right / Victory, draped, flying right, wreath in both hands above round shield inscribed S•P•Q•R / CL•V in two lines, set against tall column in background. RIC I 90 (same rev. die as illustration). Calicó 292. Subdued, lustrous surfaces, die break on reverse. Very rare reverse type - no examples in sales archives.
