Tetricus I, Romano-Gallic Empire (AD 271-274). AV aureus (20mm, 4.00 gm, 6h). NGC Choice AU★ 5/5 - 3/5, Fine Style. Trier, ca. December AD 273-spring AD 274. IMP C TETRICVS P F AVG, laureate, cuirassed bust of Tetricus I right, seen from front / HILA-RITAS AVGG, Hilaritas standing facing, head left, vertical palm in outstretched right hand, cornucopia cradled in left; child standing facing her to right and left, left child grasping the palm branch, right child raising a hand to touch a fold of her stola. RIC V.II 13. Calicó 3870 (uncertain mint). Schulte 71a (this coin). Struck from Fine Style dies on ample flan with underlying luster.
