Franz I gold "Alliance of Three Monarchs" Medal 1813 AU58 NGC, Diakov-365.1 (R3), Bram-1249, Reichel Collection-3145 var. (in silver). 34.77gm. 47mm. By I. Lang (unsigned). Housed in an NGC oversized holder. Commemorating the alliance of Alexander I, Francis I of Austria, and Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia in the war against France. A fine medal of 10 Ducat weight in borderline Mint State preservation, featuring three conjoined busts in descending relief and framed by lightly struck legends, the reverse with a 10-line inscription possessing scattered traces of originality to the protected recesses, but still laden with ample reflectivity. Prominent marks and hairlines decorate the warm, golden planchet precluding the piece from finer certification. These issues are occasionally encountered with suspension loops or conditional qualifiers, making this an elusive opportunity to acquire a straight-graded specimen.
