Republic gold 10 Dukatu 1929 MS66 PCGS, Kremnitz mint, KM14, Fr-4. The first date of issue for the type, and one which saw a total mintage of only 1,564 examples. Owing largely to this fact, truly high-quality representatives for this date are hard to come by. Looking at NGC's census reveals a single MS67+ as the finest certified for the type. Below this level, four specimens tie for the second-finest across PCGS and NGC, which includes this piece, granting it a special status that would be difficult for collectors to overlook. Glistening, golden luster decorates the entirety of the planchet, sweeping over the surfaces upon rotation to reveal pure Mint State quality. Only the most minor instances of contact remain barely detectable over the features of this jewel example, rendering the offering as a clear candidate for the quality-concerned and conditional rarity-seeking collector.
