Louis XIII gold 2 Louis d'Or 1640-A MS61+ NGC, Paris mint, KM108, Fr-409, Gad-59. 13.51gm. "IMP" in reverse legends. A compelling Mint State Double Louis d'Or featuring a crisp and well-positioned strike, coupled with an appealing degree of scintillating luster that ripples across the fields. Close inspection of the raised features reveals consistent clarity to Louis's hair strands, facial features, and the peripheral elements, with the reverse crossed L's and fleurs-de-lis similarly exact in their execution.
