Victoria gold Proof 5 Pounds 1887 PR65 Ultra Cameo NGC, KM769, Fr-390, S-3864, W&R-285, Marsh-F31. A magnificently frosted jewel of the type, illuminated across the devices by a luxurious coating of mint frost that fully covers the raised features, yielding a sharp visual juxtaposition between the devices and the surrounding fields. Victoria's Jubilee bust is particularly elegant, bearing virtually no traces of contact, her velveteen features appearing very nearly as they must have been the day that this elite example was struck over 130 years ago. The fields display measurable and clear reflectivity to a distance of several inches, ranking perhaps even more pristine than one might typically expect at this level of certification, as only the slightest wispy marks are detectable throughout, none of any remote significance to eye appeal.
