George V gold Proof "Silver Jubilee" Medal 1935 PR63 Cameo NGC, BHM-4249, Eimer-2029a. 57mm. 123.04gm. By Metcalfe. Side-by-side crowned busts of the King and Queen Mary on the obverse, and a view of Windsor Castle on the reverse with the legend STET FORTUNA DOMUS, which translates as "Let fortune stay at home." A gleaming medal in gold, struck for George V's Silver Jubilee and preserving nearly fluid brilliance over choice surfaces. A hint of frost over the devices results in a "Cameo" designation by NGC, while any handling appears primarily confined to light, insignificant wisps. A scarce issue in this conditional tier, sold with the original red case of issue with embossed gold designs, including crown and the date of George's reign through his Silver Jubilee (1910-1935).
