Leopold I gold 5 Ducat 1703/2-NB UNC Details (Plugged) NGC, Nagybanya mint (in Transylvania), KM-A257, Fr-134, Husz-1295. 17.33gm. Crown divides date. Erroneously noted as Fr-103 on the label by NGC. A perennial favorite of multiple Taler collectors and commonly encountered with pierced holes, the present specimen exhibits a neatly and expertly executed plug, blending flawlessly into Leopold's coiffed hair and reverse crown. Struck from Taler dies on a notably choice flan tempered with honeyed amber tone, it is apparent there is exceedingly little actual wear visible across the designs. This issue remains difficult to obtain in any grade and is sure to find its place in a top-tier Hungarian collection.
