Castile & Leon. Pedro I gold Dobla of 35 Maravedis ND (1350-1369)-S MS62 NGC, Seville mint, Fr-105, Cay-1276 var. (legends). 4.51gm. +PЄTRVS: DЄI: GRACIA: RЄX: CASTЄLLЄ: Є LЄGIOn (triple pellet stop after DЄI), crowned bust of king left / +PЄTRVS: DЄI: GRACIA : RЄX : CASTЄLLЄ: Є LGIOnIS, quartered arms with lions and castles, an "S" in the fourth quarter. A very challenging type to locate in wholly Mint State condition, its thin flan often leading to bending, with the relief of the devices also resulting in frequent high-point rub. Struck to a perceivable level of precision with clear remnants of the engraver's guide visible on the obverse and reverse alike, we would note that only four currently certify finer at NGC, none exceeding MS64 condition.
