Spain
Ferdinand VII gold 320 Reales 1822 M-SR MS61 NGC, Madrid mint, KM566, Fr-319, Onza-1243, Cal-1778. De Vellon coinage. A brilliant selection imbued with semi-Prooflike appearances. The radiant, gold planchet hosts a precisely rendered portrait of Ferdinand, much more life-like than contemporary colonial issues. The reverse appears much finer than the assigned grade would indicate and is punctuated by a lively satiny sheen. Quite difficult to locate in Mint State preservation, with the census topping out at MS63.
