THRACIAN KINGDOM. Lysimachus (305-281 BC). AR tetradrachm (30mm, 16.93 gm, 12h). NGC XF 5/5 - 4/5. Uncertain mint, ca. 3rd century BC. Diademed head of deified Alexander III right, with horn of Ammon; dotted border / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, Athena seated left, Nike in right hand crowning royal name, left arm resting on grounded shield, transverse spear beyond; ANΔ monogram in left field, ANΣ monogram in exergue. Thompson -. Müller 498. Excellent portrait in high relief. Flashes of rainbow hues on cabinet toned surfaces. Extremely rare - only one example in sales archives.
