ATTICA. Athens. Ca. 510/500-480 BC. AR tetradrachm (27mm, 17.21 gm, 1h). NGC AU 3/5 - 2/5, Fine Style, scratches, double-struck. Pre-Persian Class. Head of Athena right, hair in pelleted annulets along brow line, wearing crested Attic helmet, single spiral on bowl, the crest base decorated with pellets / AΘΕ, owl standing right with closed wings, head facing; olive sprig with four leaves and three berries behind, all within incuse square. HGC 4, 1588 (ca. 525-515 BC). Seltman Group H. Unusually Fine Style dies for this early archaic issue.
