SICYONIA. Sicyon. Ca. 400-323 BC. AR stater (24mm, 12.22 gm, 4h). NGC AU 5/5 - 2/5, Fine Style, graffito. Ca. late 330s BC. Chimera advancing left, mouth of lion open and tongue extended, right forepaw raised; ΣE below, laurel wreath above / Dove flying right; A behind, all within laurel wreath. BMC 50. cf. BCD Peloponnesos 220 (dove left). Fiery red and orange toning on obverse, iridescent blue on reverse.
