Constantinople, May-December AD 1067. +IhS XIS RЄX-RЄϚNANtIhm, Christ seated facing on straight backed throne, wearing nimbus cruciger, pallium and colobium, right hand raised in benediction, book of Gospels cradled in left; double border / +MIX-ЄV-ΔK-S KwNS, Eudocia standing facing on footstool, wearing pinnacle crown with pendilia, saccos and loros, jeweled scepter in right hand; flanked by sons Michael VII (on left) and Constantius (on right), globus cruciger in outer hand, akakia in inner hand; double border. Sear 1857. DOC III.2 1. Brilliantly well struck on amber flan with fiery red toning. Incredibly attractive in hand.
