Costa Rica
Republic Counterstamped 2 Reales ND (1845) F12 PCGS, San Jose mint, KM36. Type III double countermark, with female head to obverse, ceiba tree to reverse, over a Cuba lattice countermark, all struck on a Ferdinand VII 2 Reales 1833 S-JB, Seville mint. One of if not the finest of this triple-countermarked variety, the host and each mark fully discernible while this specimen on the whole is likely conservatively graded. We note that of recent, this series has gotten increased attention and is likely to draw significant interest.
