Charles IV silver "Monument" Medal 1796 MS62 PCGS, Grove-C-268. 59mm. A scarce monument medal featuring the joint busts of Charles IV and Queen Consort Maria Luisa of Parma, struck to commemorate the equestrian monument erected in Mexico City in honor of Miguel de la Grúa Talamanca, the Viceroy of New Spain from 1794 to 1798. Scarce in Mint State, with mottled cabinet iridescence.
