Ferdinand & Isabella (1476-1516) gold 2 Excelentes ND (from 1497)-S MS62 PCGS, Seville mint, Fr-129, Cay-2932. A gleaming Mint State representative of this highly popular Catholic Monarchs type, featuring the facing busts of Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile. Struck in a finer style than many examples one will encounter from this issue, and similarly well-preserved, with fine detail seen in the legends and across the eagle's feathers. Intricate die polish lines decorate the reverse fields, while a soft accenting tone accentuates the raised devices.
