A nearly Gem offering of this intricately designed 2 1/2 Escudos note. The border is comprised of dark blue ink while the design, sun-rays, emanating from the center of the note is in yellow ink. The reverse is printed in dark blue ink and offers intricately lathed detail. At center is an allegorical woman watching over a steamship, flanked at left and right by counters. PMG Pop 1/1 Finer.
