KMX-11a; HK-450; Allen-M-2. Commemorating the opening of the Manila mint. A handsome example of this scarce issue, made more so by the fact that much of the montage was dumped into the harbor to avoid its seizure in the Japanese invasion of WWII. Marbled chocolate-brown surfaces are accentuated here by mint bloom clinging to the devices.
