The first decimal series used in South Africa, the denomination is presumed to be pence though no official documentation has been uncovered that can confirm this. A wholesome and original looking survivor exhibiting even wear displaying richly toned surfaces with a hint of iridescence in the peripheries adding to its pleasing appearance.
