S-1248. Obverse: Bust of Christ Pantokrator facing; cross behind; Reverse: Justinian standing facing, wearing crown and loros, and holding akakia and cross potent set on two steps; Γ//CONOB. Despite its minor clipping, this type represents the earliest portrait of Christ to be used on a coin. Quite lustrous and brilliant, with a great rendition on the obverse.
