GALBA, A.D. 68-69. AV Aureus (7.29 gms), Rome Mint. NGC EF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 3/5.
RIC-164; Calico-509. Obverse: Bare head right; Reverse: S P Q R / OB C S in two lines within oak wreath. Well centered and rather handsomely struck, this highly lustrous specimen radiates with exceptional appeal and is undoubtedly one of the more attractive examples of this difficult type that one is likely to encounter. A great addition to any advanced 'twelve Caesars' collection, and VERY RARE so problem free and pleasing.
