Obverse: Bust right in frock coat; Reverse: Scene from the "Prologue in Heaven" from Faust I: the Lord sits among the clouds in contemplation, being drawn into a bet by Mephistopholes to right; in background to right, three archangels (Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael) pose as Valkyries, with dragon to lower left. Edge: [hallmark] located at 6h. Another example of this highly interesting type--this time in bronze--the present specimen features some muted brilliance and an olive-bronze overall hue.
