Obverse: Alma Mater seated facing on throne, raising hand and holding book; to left and right, female and male scholar standing facing one another; below, civic coat-of-arms of Paris surmounted by mural crown and within wreath composed of oak and laurel branches; Reverse: Ship of Paris under sail left. Edge: [cornucopia] ARGENT located at 6h. Gunmetal gray and quite alluring, with some hints of iridescence adding further highlights. A fairly SCARCE issue in silver.
