HADRIAN, A.D. 117-138. AE Sestertius (31.80 gms), Rome Mint, ca. A.D. 130-133. ANACS GOOD 6. Whizzed.
RIC-1769. Obverse: Bareheaded and draped bust right; Reverse: Hadrian standing right, facing Judaea standing left, who holds patera and cup (or box), preparing to sacrifice at altar between them; small boy standing before Judaea, another behind, each holding a palm frond; sacrificial calf at base of altar. Though well handled and whizzed as noted, this example nevertheless stands as a VERY RARE and desirable type.
