Straits Settlements 1.1.1934 P-16a PMG Choice UNC 64 1 Dollar
Straits Settlements notes are at their height of desirability and popularity, which has brought to light some terrific notes from the former British Colony. This 1934 is a key note for the design, and seldom appears in any quality. While there are notes dated every year from 1931 to 1935, 1934 is rare, and features only the prefix "E". Although Pick 16a is inclusive of all dates, very few 1934 $1 notes exist in Choice Uncirculated grade. A key note for the colony, as well as for the entire series of King George V portrait notes.
