Severus Alexander. AD 222-235. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.09 g, 7h). Rome mint. 15th emission, AD 232. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Spes advancing left, holding flower and raising hem of dress. RIC IV 254; BMCRE 900; RSC 546. A hint of toning, spot of verdigris and scratch on reverse. Good VF.
