Cypress tree holds a special place in the Sasanian culture as well as Zoroastrian culture. The sacred sites such as Abarkooh (Arabized Abarghoo) in Iran has a celebrated Cypress tree considered to be the birth place of Zoroaster. Lovely strike on a nice broad flan. Choice VF. Nice original find patina.
