A note from BCD: The Aufhäuser auctions were well known, amongst other things, for their rare or unique Greek fractions and their low starting prices. The auctions were well attended and almost all ancient coins were fiercely fought over. This is the first of the 6 FPLs they issued, with only one out of a total of 18 plates illustrating ancient coins.
