ITALY, Papal (Papal State). Julius III. 1550-1555. Silvered Æ Restrike Medal (34mm, 16.32 g, 12h). After a work by Alessandro Cesati "il Grechetto". Dated RY 36 (1553), but struck later. IVLIVS III PONT MAX A III, bust right, wearing tiara and mantum; triple hilled stops / KRATOYMAI*, Prudentia standing left on shore, pulling back Fortuna, who stands with billowing drapery left on dolphins, by her hair; to left, serpent-entwined mirror.
