SICILY, Syracuse. Hieron II. 275-215 BC. Æ Tetras (18mm, 6.17 g, 12h). Struck 263-218 BC. Head of Poseidon left, wearing tainia / Ornamented trident head; flanked by dolphins downward, [uncertain symbols flanking shaft]. Cf. CNS 197; BAR Issue 60; HGC 2, 1470 and 1550. Green patina with light earthen deposits, some roughness. Near VF.
