Mauritius ND (1954) P-29 PMG Very Fine 25 Rupees
Since the legendary 1000 Rupees of 1954 was suspected of being used for interbank transfers only, this 25 Rupees is the highest denomination used in general circulation. This note features the first signature variety (Hinchey and Harvais), along with an error in the Hindi text at front center. All three signature varieties use the A prefix, which indicate how few of these notes were issued between 1954 and 1967. A problem free, circulated example of a very rare QEII banknote.
