BURMA: Anonymous, ca. 8th/11th century, AV burial bracteate (1.01g), imitation of an Islamic dinar of the 7th through 10th century, pendant removed (as usual), EF, RRR. Although normally found in a wide swath of regions, from Byzantine Anatolia through Central Asia to Xinjiang and Gansu, according to the consignor, this remarkable piece was found in the Srikshetra region of Myanmar.
