UNITED STATES: COLLECTION of 11 tickets from the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893: Chicago Day with stub attached (2 pieces), Chicago Day with stub missing, Manhattan Day with stub attached, and General Admission tickets: Lincoln, Washington, Columbus, and Indian Chief, and special tickets for music (Handel) and complementary (Franklin, 2 pieces); nice colorful set in generally Mint or Near Mint grades, except for the Chicago Day with stub missing (VG), in consignor's individual holders in banknote wallet, retail value $550, lot of 11 tickets. Not only are these collected by many currency collectors, but most were made by the American Bank Note Company.
