The Uvedale Collection | AU55 | James I (1603-1625), Third Coinage, Laurel of 20-Shillings, 1623-1624, small rounded third head left, small curly ties rev. crowned shield over long cross fourchée, 8.95g, 1h, m.m. lis (Schneider I, 85; North 2113; Spink 2638A), brighter surfaces with some die clashing, otherwise a full uniform strike on a broad flan, very fine the peripheries better and mostly as struck, a handsome example thus, in NGC holder, graded AU55 (Cert. #6135268-008).
