The Uvedale Collection | Charles I (1625-1649), Briot's Milled Issue, Double-Crown, 1631-1632, Tower (under King), neat crowned bust left, jewelled arches, value behind, rev. crowned square-topped and garnished shield,, dividing crowned C-R, 4.48g, 7h, m.m. B and flower / B (Brooker 710 same dies; Schneider II, 279 same dies [Variety 2]; North 2295; Spink 2720), creased and dented by value, with traces of adjustment across shield, otherwise residually lustrous with traces of reddish tone, about very fine details, rare, even as a type coin.
