The Uvedale Collection | AU58 | Charles II (1660-1685), Two-Guineas, 1682, 'large 2', second laureate head right, rounded truncation, rev. no stop after HIB, crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, five strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 16.71g, 6h (Murdoch II, 525 'this date unpublished'; King - [cf. 111]; Stratos 153; Schneider II, 435/436; EGC 220; MCE 46; Spink 3335), lightly wiped with slight rim furling at 12 and 1 o'clock, otherwise lustrous, a pleasingly bold very fine, the central devices especially so, scarce, in NGC holder, graded AU58 (Cert. #6135268-014).
