(g) The Uvedale Collection | MS62 | Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1850, Inverted A for V in VICTORIA, [and 8 over ?], second head left, W.W. in relief on truncation, inverted A in VICTORIA, edge milled, 7.99g, 6h (Bentley 60; Marsh 33; Spink 3852C), die flaw through 1 of date and through legend on reverse, otherwise an attractively lustrous example dampened by hints of ochre-orange tone, the inverted A error exceptionally clear, a magnificent example of this famous rarity finer even than the Bentley example, in NGC holder, graded MS62 (Cert. #6135271-002).
