Berlin: Verlag der Akademie der Wissenschaften in Kommission bei Walter de Gruyter u. Co., 1931–1936. The first three parts. 23, (1) + 14 + 16 pages; 10 very fine plates of faux coins. Four works, bound in one volume. Small 4to, later black pebbled cloth, gilt; original printed card or paper covers bound in. Laid in are two offprints and a photograph on the subject. Near fine. The rare original edition of Svoronos, with photographically printed plates. "Une étude comprenant toutes les monnaies fausses de ce falsificateur dangereux, réunies grâce aux moules saisies dans sa boutique et déposées actuellement au Musée Numism. D'Athènes."-Journal international d'archéologie numismatique, 1925. Daehn 1720. Kroh 98: "Originals are very rare and seldom offered." The Gaebler monographs were originally published in the Sitzungsberichten der Preussischen Akademie der Wissenschaften, over a period of more than a decade.
