(8), 38, (2) pages; 204 lots; fine frontispiece portrait; 22 very fine plates of medals. Hand-priced in pencil. Three catalogues, bound in one volume. Folio [37 by 27 cm], later maroon pebbled cloth, gilt; original printed paper or card covers bound in. Very good or better. Three notable sales of medals. The Felix sale is Clain-Stefanelli 14358. The Merzbacher catalogue is very scarce. According to the foreword: "Die nachfolgend beschriebenen Medaillen entstammen zum Teil der Sammlung eines süddeutschen Aristokraten, zum anderen Teil umfassen sie die deutschen Renaissancemedaillen einer alten Sammlung eines bekannten ausländishen Kunstliebhabers."
