TWO SHILLINGS, open wreath, central hole (KM.TN4.2), certified and graded by NGC as Mint State 66 Red Brown These tokens were issued during WWII for use in the internment camps in Australia. The tokens were struck by Australian contractors R. Ardendeen and Sons Pty Ltd. for use in the Australian Defence Canteens. Fortunately, the camps closed when the war ended, and the prisoners were allowed to exchange their tokens for face value Australia currency.
