KM-3; Gad-23; Lec-190. Mintage: 100. Tied for third finest certified of the designation with four other examples on the PCGS population report, three finer (PR 65[1] and PR 66[2]). A RARE Proof only issue produced during the Exposition Universelle of 1889 (Paris World's Fair). Mirrored surfaces under mottled toning. This attractive and nicely preserved near Gem example boasts a sharp strike with crisp devices and smooth surfaces that retain much reflectively, though slightly subdued in the center of the reverse. Rich mottled gray patina with areas of brighter coloration offers a pleasing appearance.
