GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Dollar, 1900-C. Calcutta Mint. Victoria. PCGS MS-63.
KM-T5; Mars-BTD1; Prid-10. A tone-free example of this KEY DATE with beaming luster over both sides and only minor instances of contact over the surfaces. Not to be confused with a mark, close inspection reveals a meandering strike-through that begins near the obverse rim at 12 o'clock and runs to Britannia's left breast. Certainly elite overall, this example is presently one of only two examples graded by PCGS at the MS-63 grade, with a single MS-64 finer. Close inspection of the MS-64 image on PCGS' website leaves some question as to whether it is the 1900-C or 1900-(C) variety, as PCGS no longer differentiates between the two varieties.
Estimate: $10000 - $20000
