(t) CHINA. Dollar, Year 3 (1911). Tientsin Mint. PCGS Genuine--Questionable Color, Unc Details.
L&M-37; K-227; KM-Y-31; WS-0046b. Variety with no dot after "DOLLAR" and extra flame. Eminently rotatable with full cartwheel radiance, this piece is tantalizingly attractive. Rich amber flows into a darker lilac and sapphire tone on the dragon side, while the characters side exhibits generous, consistent violet and steel blue hues punctuated by an argent center. Fully original and free of contact marks or blemishes, with toning that PCGS considers a bit too thick for numerical grading, though the raw appeal will likely manifest into a strong hammer price.
Estimate: $4000 - $6000
