(t) CHINA. Dollar, ND (1927). PCGS Genuine--Harshly Cleaned, AU Details.
L&M-49; K-608; KM-Y-318a.1; WS-0159. "Military" or "Warlord" type. This decently preserved example of the type that exhibits a bold strike with good definition of the details displaying light mottled tone. The surfaces are bright from a light old polishing indicated as "Harshly Cleaned" on the PCGS insert. A die crack on the obverse in the upper right quadrant and a horn-like protrusion on the "R" of "Republic" add interesting characteristics on this piece. Despite its shortcomings a presentable example sure to catch the attention of academic collectors.
Estimate: $900 - $1200
