(t) CHINA. Dollar, Year 3 (1914). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details.
L&M-63d; KM-Y-329. Kansu variety. This highly attractive and gently handled survivor boasts great eye appeal. The devices are boldly struck and well-defined, a feature normally associated with products from this branch mint. A few leaves to the left of "壹" are a bit flat and only mentioned for the sake of accuracy. Upon inspection evidence of a past cleaning, primarily contained to the open areas becomes apparent, now subdued by lovely rich patina. The centers display a light golden-gray tone that transitions to a dusky iridescence ending with ash gray patina near parts of the edges. When rotating in the light, luster pops out from the protected areas adding to its pleasing appearance. Though this piece is in a details designated holder it is still very attractive with good eye appeal and is nicer looking than many higher grade examples.

Estimate: $400 - $600
