(t) CHINA. Copper 10 Cash Pattern, ND (1913). NGC Unc Details--Obverse Damage.
CL-MG.64; CCC-690; W-972 (B-2); KM-Pn5; Hsu-13; Duan-3097. See Ros #23/24 p.127, Ros didn't mention the actual date, but can be identified as the time of Vice-Present Li's departure for Peking (Dec. 1913). A beautifully struck pattern with glossy, smooth surfaces and a milk chocolate to mahogany patina, broken only by a faintly lighter streak across the obverse. The beauty of this piece is interrupted only by a small attempted hole punched near the rim at 12 o'clock on the obverse, with no damage to the reverse in this position. VERY RARE and a very important addition to the collection of the pattern specialist.
Ex: Wa She Wong Collection.
Estimate: $60000 - $80000
