CHINA. Fantasy "Szechuan-Tibet" Silver Dollar, ND (ca. 1908). PCGS MS-61.
K-B27; KMX-M429; WS-1349-47. Obverse: Facing bust of Empress Tzu Hsi; Reverse: Copy of the Tibetan Rupee design. Fully struck with rich gray and brown tone over the surfaces on both sides. RARE in this quality, with only two example certified finer by PCGS.

According to Unusual World Coins, three varieties of this type exist. This type, which is the same as is plated in Kann, is referred to as Type 1. It displays skilled engraving that results in wonderful design detail and an expressive portrait of the empress.
