L&M-182; K-40; KM-Y-127.1; WS-0873. This decently preserved example displays rich mottled patina with attractive sunset hued iridescent tone and areas of brighter coloration. The surfaces do show signs of a past cleaning, now subdued by the lovely patination. Upon close inspection the obverse die exhibits several long die cracks offering interesting characteristics not normally encountered on these issues. Despite its shortcomings a wholesome and presentable representative of the type that is certain to pique the interest of many academic collectors.
